Job Summary
Effectively and efficiently performs HVAC control maintenance and HVAC control system design services for Lewis & Clark College under the auspices of Facilities Services, within the financial resources available.

Essential Functions
  • Performs highly skilled HVAC control design and maintenance including but not limited to the following specific areas:
  • Adjusts, calibrates, designs, and replaces controls for HVAC system as required.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electronic HVAC systems.
  • Analyzes and repairs analog and digital circuitry.
  • Conducts inspections of work performed by HVAC contractors. Keeps accurate records of material, labor, and equipment costs on assigned tasks. Responds to on-campus emergency calls. Operates all machinery in a safe and professional manner.
  • As directed, makes costs estimates and prepares lists for jobs. Assists in ordering supplies as needed. Performs other duties and works particular shifts as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge in HVAC control systems. High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years experience as a maintenance/HVAC engineer.
  • Minimum Limited Maintenance Electrician license for the State of Oregon. Skilled in computers and HVAC programming.
  • Essential knowledge in electrical system maintenance.
  • Ability to perform the physical tasks as required to carryout the job responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain a valid Oregon driver's license and meet College vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Ability to read and write in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Broad knowledge of pneumatic, analog and digital electronics. Basic computer skills, word processing, and spreadsheet use. Ability to perform duties in an expedient and professional manner.
