We are currently seeking an HVAC Technician to join our Las Vegas, NV office.
HVAC TECHNICIAN - Las Vegas, NV
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and efficient operation of all HVAC systems and other tasks that may be assigned in the most efficient and workmanlike manner.
- Maintain the quality and quantity of his/her work up to acceptable CLIENT standards and in accordance with established policies.
- Represent CLIENT to the customer and the general public in a manner that promotes good relationships.
- Performs the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
- Performs general facility related maintenance work including: cafeteria equipment repairs, plumbing repairs, replacement of lamps/ballasts, door hardware and other maintenance tasks.
- Operates building systems in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with government regulatory compliance and standard operating procedures.
- Performs maintenance in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Performs predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines and equipment rounds and service requests as directed.
- Inspects and repairs pumps, fans, valves and motors ensuring proper operation of the facility equipment and systems.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with established work standards and practices.
- Perform emergency or preventative maintenance repairs off hours as directed on nights and weekends as needed.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five year Operating Engineer Apprenticeship program or a minimum of 5 years field experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing and architectural blueprints.
- Certified in HVAC operation and maintenance where required.
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC and electrical problems.
- Knowledge of building automation systems.
- Knowledge of building life safety monitoring systems, including halon, pre-action and VESDA preferable.
- Where mobile position is required, must have clean driving record.
